Video Music Awards 2012

It’s raining awards on Vh1! After airing the Golden Globes and Grammys earlier this year, the international entertainment channel is back this season with a set of whole new awards, starting with – the Video Music Awards 2012. An evening to honour the best music videos of the previous year, the awards will air LIVE on September 7, 2012 at 5.30am, with a prime time repeat @8pm.

The 2012 Video Music Awards will be held for the first time at Staples Centre, making the show even bigger and better – if that’s possible! Hosting the coveted awards this year will be the renowned actor and stand-up comedian, Kevin Hart. Known for his quit wit and tongue-in-cheek humor, the awards ceremony will be nothing less than a laughter riot. The entire music industry along with  some renowned Hollywood legends will be seen sashaying down the red carpet.

Leading the nominations list this year are Rihanna and Drake with five nominations each and Katy Perry with four. As far as the performances are concerned, burning the stage LIVE for the first time ever would be the sensational teenage boy band, One Direction. International pop icon, Rihanna would also make the audiences groove to some of her chart topping numbers. Taylor Swift will perform on a brand new song for the first time at the awards ceremony. Also expected to perform at the awards this year are popular artists Alicia Keys and Green Day amongst others.

Also coming up, Vh1’s official Facebook and Twitter pages will buzz with a number of engaging activities around the awards. The Facebook page will give a chance to their viewers to vote for the nominee they ‘think’ should win while the Twitter page will create special #tag - #VMAsWithVh1

PVR Pictures romcom ‘To Rome With Love’ to hit theaters on September 7th 2012

Presenting a perfect blend of comedy and romance, PVR Pictures is all set to release its latest offering ‘TO ROME WITH LOVE’ in theatres on 7^th September 2012. Academy Award winning filmmaker Woody Allen offers a triple treat of writing, directing and acting in this film. Known for his funny wordplay and incisive characterizations, Allen makes many short lists of the most important comedy directors of all time. To Rome With Love is inspired profoundly by Italian filmmakers who he finds both innovative and brilliant.

The film is a kaleidoscopic romantic comedy movie set in one of the world’s most enchanting cities. Breath-taking bout of creativity by young and talented designers

Mumbai, 29th June 2012: Tassel Designers’ Awards 2012, by students of iNIFD, Andheri witnessed the efforts of 40 graduating students who showcased their designs conveying their design sensibilities amidst pomp and fair.

There was an eclectic mix of fashion pedants and celebs who graced the occasion like Neetu Chandra, Pooja Bedi, Karanvir Bohra, Teejay Sidhu, Sammeer Sheth, Swapnil Shinde, Nisha Harale, Dipankar Zalpuri, Adam Bedi, Nisha Harale, Jassi Kaur, Soumya Seth (Lead protagonist – Serial Navya), Ashish Sharma (Dhaval Desai of Serial Saathiya Sath Nibhana), Avesh Dadlani, Zainab, Sabah Khan, Riddhi Dhoni and many more.

The highlight of the event was interesting mix of 20 compilation crafted by the students which was choreographed by ace fashion choreographer Nisha Harale. Also, Neetu Chandra graced the occasion by being the showstopper for one of the designers. A new trend was spotted for the 1st time in a student designers' show... There were show-stoppers brought-in by the students which hugely impressed the crowd!

Eminent fashion dignitaries like Rahul & Divya Mishra, Swapnil Shinde, Sammeer Sheth, Dipankar Zalpuri, Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu were the jury panel for the glitzy night.

Inspite of his ill health Karanvir Bohra was spotted encouraging the young designers. He was so amazed by the young and talented designers that he opted to change into one of the designer’s costume. Pooja Bedi was seen minus her beau Sky (Akashdeep Saigal) for a change! A sensuous & scintillating dance performance on the song 'Premi Pachattar Hamare' found its way to this students' show. Adam Bedi was there to cheer his sister-in-law who was one of the participants.

Last night, Mumbai saw all the glitteratzis and fashionistas at a much looked forward do at the luxurious store CREO, where Ambika Sanjana launched BiKa Swimwear, an international swimwear brand.

There was an eclectic mix of socialites & celebrities who graced the occasion like Mia Yuedo, Reshma & Sulaiman Merchant, Adam & Nisha Bedi, Nishka Lulla, Ashish Raheja, Siddhartha Rawal, Shama Sikander and Rizwan Sikender, Henry & Ashita Tham, Haniif Hilal, Parveen Dusanj, Sonal Shah, Karishma Tanna, Subha Sethi and Rupal Gagar and many more.


The highlight of the event was Live Mannequins modeling the BiKa Swimwear. The crowd was glued to the window outside gazing at the hot models which almost blocked the traffic. Ambika’s muse Mia Yuedo stepped out graciously in BiKa swimwear which got many applauds. Models got the attention as they walked around wearing BiKa swimwear and posed for the paparazzi.

While cheese and wine was served around guests were seen admiring the collection. Among the celebrities, Karan Grover was spotted with a mysterious girl, Hanif Hilal and Karishma Tanna came together. Initially Hanif was conscious to be clicked along with Karishma, but later they posed for paparazzi . The guests felt that something was brewing up between them.

As the crowd was glued to the window gazing these hot and glamorous models, the crowd was abuzz with talk of this unique concept & quite a few guests were determined to do the dame at their stores!

Ambika’s collaboration with an NGO called Birth Right where a portion of the money generated by BiKa goes to the NGO was the talk of the evening.

Chitrangada launching new range of Kohler

In the latest news buzz we found glamorous Chitrangada launching new range of Kohler. Kohler defines its new range as bold and exotic just as Chitrangada. On the launch she said that she wish to gift her set of Kohler range to Rekhaji who loves gold.

To grace the golden occasion Chitrangada was dressed in a golden gown pairing it up with golden stilettos.  She was looking absolutely gorgeous and bold. We just thought to catch the golden girl behind scenes to know how she relates to it.

We asked her Does she loves gold? She replied, yes I do but not too extreme. We wanted to know how bold she is and will she show boldness on screen? To this she replied I’m bold in my thoughts. I’m expected to do a bold role in a film. I’m really looking forward for it. Right now I can’t disclose the films name but, very soon you’ll come to know.

What is boldness according to you?

Boldness doesn’t mean exposing physically but, really having an open mind.

With such a reply we are pretty sure that Chitrangada is goanna give a new outlook towards boldness.

Jethalal In A New Trouble.

However obnoxious it may sound but Boman Irani and Sharman Joshi came to Gokuldham Society accusing Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi of stealing their scooter. When Jethalal denied it Boman Irani hit him with his umbrella.

On the lighter side Boman Irani, who had come on the sets to promote his film, wanted to take Daya Ben (Disha Wakhani) for a ride on his scooter because Boman’s mother loves the serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Commented Sharman Joshi, “this is one show that is constantly funny without getting crass. Kudos to Asit Modi for keeping it clean and still maintaining the top position.”

Neela Telefilm’s produced serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah telecasts Monday to Thursday at 8 PM on Sab TV.
